Stimulus Watch: New Hanover

Posted November 18th, 2009 at 7:49 AM by John Hood

Following up on yesterday’s post about stimulus spending in Brunswick, here is Capitol Monitor’s analysis of the $23 million in grants and contracts awarded to date in New Hanover County.

I am particularly intrigued by the $102, 381 awarded to the Skeets Winner Corporation for “clean diesel” and the $10,000 to DREAMS of Wilmington to promote a “creative workforce.” The federal bailout bills have certainly stimulated a lot of creative accounting.
